lyrics

When the father shakes his head at you, and decrees the words you say aren't true, keep your head held high. The limit is the sky and you are just now rising up above the world.

When the preacher practices his preach, but he does not practice what he'll preach, don't scowl at the world. For others have not heard what it means to keep your head above your heart.

Don't be discouraged by them. The time they waste is grand. They're carnivores who don't look back and choke on bone and all until they die.

When you watch the people on TV report the news like it's a sporting spree, it's a wonder they don't cry. Your neighbors live to die and all you hear is how the money was well-spent.
